This is a pretty good article on SEO. SEO is not my primary area but I think all marketers should keep up with the basics and the basics are ever changing. Its a quick scan and I’d recommend looking at all 7 points.
The first item you’ll see Keyword Specific Domain Name is not for us B2B types. I have never worked for a company that would let me rename the company. And even if they did it there would be other problems with having the company name be a keyword.

The Panda update has made Directory Submission even more valuable and productive for generating back links than ever before as now, only those directories which have a high PageRank are in business while all other around have been buried.
